Thinking over a laser eye surgery in central Europe? Be open-eared!
I have had undergone the laser eye surgery on my both eyes in Prague. Even thought there were another locations in the Czech Republic, I choose Prague, cause it is the place where I live, there is quite high competition between laser eye surgery surgeons/operators and in fact, I was lazy to travelling too :-)
It has been several years since this industry began its run, and now there had been given good eyesight back to tens of thousands people. Not from Prague, of course, I can say from the whole Europe and from the USA as well.
It is great advantage of Prague in comparsion to other smaller cities in Central/Eastern Europe, that the city has more than million inhabitants and is really overcrowded by tourists, businessmans, etc.. Which helped to develop this industry quite international and well recognized by European people as well as by overseas residents. Every Doctor will now how to treat you at the highest level, using good english language, knowing how to help you in tough hourse or days after the sugery.
So, there it is!

Yeap folks, there are many ways how to find out an affordable flat/apartment for a very reasonable price!
Basically, you can choose from a few basic sources. Prague is the biggest city in the Czech Republic, therefore there are many real estate agtencies, which can help you. You can watch over newspapers and special classifieds. You can tell your friends and work-mates that you are seeking an accommodation…. Many ways.
Shared Accommodation
If you are a student, the best way is probably entering into conversation with your classmates and discuss shared acommodation. This maybe the cheapest choice ever. Consider these prices:
- average price of 2+1 flat is around 10.000 - 12.000 CZK with all fees (water, etc.)
- you can divide this price by 2 for two single persons, which each will have his/her own room… 5.000 - 6.000 CZK per MONTH (just approx 220 €)
- if you are three people or two pairs - approx 2.500 - 3.000 CZK (just approx 100-110 €) - but this choice seems to be very hypothetical –> neither owner nor real estate agent would be happy with having 4 adult people in such a big flat!
Where to find this kind of accommodation?
Your Own Flat / Apartment
To rent an appartment is a bit more expensive, though you may make a very good deal when legth of the contract is long enough.
What are the pricing of your own flat around 20 minutes from city center?
- Garsoniera/1+1 = Studio - approx 7.000-8.000 CZK + fees. around 10.000 CZK total
- 2+1 = 1 bedroom 1 living room - 8.000 - 12.000 CZK + fees. around 10.000 - 14.000 CZK
- 3+1 = 2 bedrooms 1 living room - 10.000 - 13.000 CZK + fees. around 12.000 - 16.000 CZK
Where to find right flat?
1) Try out the Internet:
2) Try out real estate agency
- www.bytycz.cz
- etc… there you’ll find list of ALL big real estate agencies in Prague: http://www.firmy.cz/Remesla-a-sluzby/Reality/Realitni-kancelare and the list can be filtered by part of Prague then - bookmark this address, I guess there is no better list of real estate agencies. By the way, default ordering is by “credit” of this company, which means, there are the biggest agencies in the highest positions, which is caused by their huge amount of money they are able to pay for their marketing…….. Do you ask what am I trying to say? Simply it means, there should be no problem neither with quality of services nor with english communication level of the company staff.
