How to get from Prague Airport to the city centre

There are several ways hot to get to Prague city centere from Prague Airport (Ruzyne). You will have the following choice.

Taxi

This is the most expensive way however it is luxury and exptremely flexible. You will find out taxi cabs in front of the Terminal 1/2 hall - the company which runs this airport taxi service is called AAA Taxi.

You will be charged as your kilometers goes. An average price of taxi Prague Ruzyne - Prague City is around 500-600 CZK, which is approx $30 USD / 25 EUR.

Prague Airport Transfers

There has geen operating several small comapanies, using mainly bigger cas such as VW Transporter to pick you up and move you and your luggage onto whatever place you want (I mean - whatever place in inner city). The price is obviously flat with occassional extra fee. You will be charged similar to taxi, but the price will not vary from chosen route.

Public Transport - BUS and Underground

For the present, Prague Airport has no direct railway/underground system connected to terminals. Bloody situation, as the numbers of travellers continue to grow rapidly, reaching 11 millions this year. But we have to live with this.

For the quickest transport to the city centre or the nearest metro station we recommend using routes 100 and 119.

  • 100 - Terminal North 1 –  Terminal North 2 – ZLIČÍN (change to metro line B) – journey time 15 min
  • 119 - Terminal North 1 –  Terminal North 2 - Divoká Šárka - DEJVICKÁ (change to metro line A) – journey time 20 min

Bus stops:

  • Terminal 1  (new airport) - Terminal North 1 stop
  • Terminal 2  (new airport) - Terminal North 2 stop
  • Terminal 3 (private and government flights) - Terminal South stop

Prague Transit Company charges a fare of CZK 26 for all journeys, except Airport Express. Fares can be bought from vending machines in the airport and in newspaper kiosks.
